About
Knoxville and its surrounding communities are home to many creative individuals and industries who have been inspired by the natural beauty here. We are proud to call East Tennessee our home.
Did you know?
- We have more historic homes in Greater Knoxville than any other city in the country, except Charleston, SC.
- Knoxville is the fourth largest production city in America
- The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most visited in the nation and the home to many Appalachian artisans
- Home to the nation’s largest national laboratory and the world’s most powerful supercomputers, Oak Ridge National Laboratories
CreativeKnoxville.com is a website designed to highlight Knoxville’s Creative Community by leveraging their “stories” and impact on the local community/economy in order to assist Knoxville in developing an additional marketing “identity”, and to assist our economic development leaders in attracting similar new businesses to our region. By focusing on the inherent financial enhancement of the business/creative coalition, we hope to foster not only a more fertile future for both the business and creative communities, but a better quality of life in Knoxville. As partners in this initiative, we engaged the web design and computer design classes at Fulton High School to build and maintain the website, resulting in a meaningful experience for students that link their high school experience to potential job opportunities.
